We came across the Pennines from Leeds the Sunday after you posted this. We left compacted ice and snow an inch or more deep behind us and saw dry pavements etc in M'cr!!! Amazing, huh?
We sit in the Cheshire basin, nearly surrounded by mountains, so we hardly ever get really bad weather, it gets left on the mountains. Its disappointing for our children as they hardly ever see snow, just the occasional thin blanket.
